Electrician – Þjórsár Area
Ístak hf. is seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to work on the construction of energy infrastructure projects in the Þjórsár area. This is a varied and challenging position where safety, quality, and professionalism are top priorities.
Ístak is one of Iceland's leading construction contractors, delivering a wide range of projects across multiple sectors. Our work includes commercial and residential construction, power plants, heavy industrial projects, earthworks, civil engineering, harbour construction, as well as road and bridge projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, connect, and complete electrical wiring and electrical equipment.
- Install, test, and commission electrical systems.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
- Ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment.
- Work according to electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Comply with all health, safety, and quality standards on site.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in the electrical trade, preferably on industrial or construction projects.
- Experience with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently with a structured and organized approach.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid Category B driver's licence.
