Carpenter

Ístak hf is looking for carpenters for a variety of projects.

Ístak is a construction company carrying out diverse projects in many different fields. These include various types of construction projects, power plant developments, heavy industry projects, earthworks, civil engineering works, harbor construction, and road and bridge construction.

Main responsibilities

The employee will carry out various types of carpentry work according to drawings, depending on the nature of the project being worked on at any given time, for example:

• Formwork assembly; installation of standardized concrete formwork systems and carpentry related to formwork.
• Various carpentry work.
• Installation of cladding and other prefabricated units.
• Various tasks related to the construction and installation of scaffolding, safety measures, and temporary site arrangements.

Requirements for education and/or experience/skills:

• Experience in a similar position.
• Diligence
• Proficiency in Icelandic and/or English, ability to work independently, and conscientiousness.
